My Approach

I start by listening to you carefully. I pay attention to your hopes and goals, and let them guide our time. If we can build a strong, respectful relationship as therapist and client, then we are off to a good start!

One of my core beliefs is that your body, emotions, and mind naturally want to move from stuckness towards healing when given good support and guidance. So to help your body along towards the wholeness it actively seeks, I offer guidance. I weave in evidence-based Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), mindfulness practices, the neuroscience of autonomic nervous system change, and attachment-based interventions to support your own natural movement toward healing and growth.

I hold a social justice and trauma theory lens and welcome people of diverse backgrounds. You may be a person of color, LGBTQ+ person, 1st- or 2nd-generation immigrant, refugee or asylee, or a person who feels marginalized in your community.

I welcome you.
