I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License #21452) with a BA in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley.
I am also a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist and primarily approach my work with clients through the IFS lens. I first experienced the IFS model in a group retreat setting a few years ago. I remember thinking there was something that was so simple and true about this compassionate approach. It just made sense to me. Since that retreat, I have been struck by the healing benefits of IFS in my own life and in my work with clients.
I am deeply informed by my experiences in community mental health settings, ranging from psychiatric hospital settings, medical and perinatal clinics, and community mental health agencies. These have been the settings where I’ve grown passionate about serving marginalized folks in the midst of their personal and collective struggles. It is a joy to walk alongside others both in their struggles and in their unique and sacred activism. These settings have sharpened my focus and desire to continue working with underserved people of color and their allies. If you identify this way, I welcome you.
